Scenic point "Okumatsushima": It’s located in center of Miyagi, East Matsushima city that faces Ishinomaki Bay of the Pacific Ocean is to the south of Okumatsushima. Okumatsushima is one of the four most beautiful Matsushima scenic spots. Ootakamori that is called Spectacle and Saga Valley that is one of the three wonderful valleys have unspoiled nature surrounded by ocean. They have different atmosphere from modest view of Matsushima.

If you visit from Ishinomaki area, please get off the train at Yamoto Station, and have a specialty laver udon at Chanco Haginoi.
After that, go to center of Okumatsushima tour, Nobiru Station by train.
Take a taxi and go to Ootakamori next. You will walk trail, please wear confortable shoes and clothes.
After went down, we recommend you to visit Saga Valley which is symbol of East Matsushima.

Chanko hot pot restaurant which retired-sumo wrestler runs. We would like you to eat laver udon made a recipe with fisherman, not Chanko hot pot. Laver udon that is made from Dough mixed with flour and laver is very delicious. It’s chewy and tasty. Once you eat it, you would not forget the udon.

Tourist office which has opened at west of entrance of Okumatsushima tour, Nobiru Station, in 2016. The office sales light meals and specialties.

One of the four major views of Matsushima

Otakamori

One of the four most beautiful scenic spot. It is located in center of Miyakojima East Matsushima city called Okumatsushima. It is 106 meters high. It takes about 20 minutes to the top from trailhead. From the top, you can see Mtsushima Bay. It is one of the four most beautiful scenic spot, and it looks like miniature garden, so it is called Spectacle.

You can buy souvenirs while waiting for pleasure boat.

Aomina

The facility that has opened next to trailhead of Ootakamori in 2017. There are four buildings. Souvenir shop, waiting area of pleasure boat, civic center, waiting area of pleasure boat, accommodation for the people who is going to start agriculture. In the season of delicious oyster, oyster hut will open. You can enjoy a winter delicacy of Okumatsushima.

Sagakei Pleasure Boat

Saga Valley is one of the three most wonderful valley, and it is as wonderful as Geibi Valley in Iwate prefecture and Yaba Valley in Ooita prefecture. It is located at the area that sticking out to east west of Okumatsushima Miyatojima. The scenery which majestic rocks make is the full impact. The pleasure boat is small, so you can see the islands close.
